Our 2015 Travel Highlights

Little by little one travels far

With 2016 well and truly kicked off and our first trip of the year already over, it’s time to take a quick look at the wonderful travels we had in 2015. It was the first year we really traveled together and that made each trip extra special and has created a serious case of wanderlust for future travels.

1. The Philippines

We visited the Philippines in February and had an incredible time visiting Mount Pinatubo (an active volcano), travelling to Palawan and taking lots of island hopping tours. You can read more about our trip to the Philippines here. Discovering El Nido in Palawan was the highlight of my 2015 travels with all those islands to explore and paradise beaches. We would love to go back! El Nido Tour C

At the end of September we ticked off the number one spot on Rhys’ bucket list: Petra. What a breathtaking experience that was, we enjoyed beautiful views and sunsets over the Dead Sea, felt rejuvenated and super soft after a Dead Sea scrub and spent hours exploring Petra, admiring both the Treasury and the Monastery. Last stop of the year was a quick trip back to Northern Ireland for me to see the family again, it was definitely much colder than Spring time but it was nice to get a little taste of winter! Winter Berries

We’re planning our 2016 adventures and also can’t wait to share more photos and stories from our trips to Kenya, Jordan and Hong Kong as well as what we’ve been getting up to in Dubai. We haven’t posted recently as we’ve had a few site hosting issues but we’re looking forward to getting stuck in to blogging again this year.
